registered on the U.K. government's Constructionline - the U.K. Register of Qualified
Construction Services. 
This certifies that the firm has
reached the required technical, managerial and financial
standards as laid down by the Construction Section of the
Department of Trade and Industry. Our registration number
is 20071 and our registration can be verified by calling
0181 380 4600. All work is
checked and approved by a Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers before being issued. A Member is
entitled to use the letters M.I.Struct.E. after their
name. We are
approved by the National House-Building Council as a Timber Frame Certifier. Independence We are a fully independent
business. We do not have commercial ties to any builders,
contractors, material suppliers or other building
professionals. This ensures that we give you unbiased
professional advice. Creativity We are
first and foremost designers and delight in stretching
our engineering skills. We use imaginative design to turn
your dream into reality. Speed We have
increased the speed of our turnaround times by the use of
CAD (Computer Aided Design) and e-mail facilities to
enable design information to be exchanged electronically. We can
give you a design completion time with our quotation, if
desired.
Ease of construction We are
very aware that every design needs to be 'buildable' and
go to great efforts to keep construction simple. Personal service We give

work on a set price per hour for all work undertaken on
your project. Or if you prefer, we can carry out a site
visit, discuss you proposal with you and undertake a
structural assessment of your proposal. We can then offer
you a fixed fee quotation for undertaking the structural
design required. JS Engineering Design was established in 1995 by the Engineering Manager, John Symons. He is a Chartered Engineer and a Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers.
He has worked in the construction
industry for 25 years for both contractors and leading
engineering consultancies. His previous employment as an
Associate with Whitby, Bird and Partners led to designing
Woking Leisure Centre and being Resident Engineer for the
now famous Merchants Bridge, at Castlefield in
Manchester.
